– The Sandown 350 Classic.

Today we race prepare a wide range of Ferrari race cars for an equally diverse group of customers at our first class Richmond (Melbourne) facility.

This Sauber Mercedes C9 is one of five ever built. Chassis 05A. Owned by an Australian investor, the car regularly competes in Europe and has now come down under for an event at Phillip Island. It ran competitively in the 1 hour Group C race at the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans. Interestingly, this car was the fastest to ever travel down the famous Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans, reaching 402kph. In 2008 it achieved a faster top speed than the polesitter for the 24 Hour race, specifically, the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP works entry. This C9 won the 1989 World Endurance Championship in the hands of Jochen Mass and John-Louis Schlesser. Maranello Motorsport is servicing the race car for competition.

Group C Racing Series and the 2008 Le Mans 24 hour support race.

Idea Mechanic @ HOTLAP, Jon Hart, has been involved in many high levels of motorsport having covered five 24 Hours of Le Mans, worked with Don Panoz's factory prototype team and produced online brand experiences that is today Clipsal 500 Adelaide.

Jon has worked with David Brabham, Jan Magnussen, Bryan Herta, John Bowe, Olivier Beretta, Max Papis, Allan Simonsen, Bryce Washington, Jack Elsegood, George Miedecke, David Donohue, Scott Maxwell, David Saelens, Coopers and Toyota F1. In tech, Apple IBM, Telstra, Adobe & Hitachi, but never Microsoft.
